BER Analysis of STBC Codes for MIMO Rayleigh Flat Fading Channels [PDF]

open access: yesTelfor Journal, 2012
The paper presents the analysis of Space-Time Block Codes (STBC) used in Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) systems to assure transmit diversity. The receive diversity is resolved with a Maximum Ratio Combining technique.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Massive MIMO antenna precoding based on tensor decomposition

open access: yes上海师范大学学报. 自然科学版, 2017
A massive multiple input multiple output(MIMO) antenna precoding scheme based on tensor decomposition is proposed. The tensor decomposition is used to reduce the dimension of high-dimensional antennas, and the low-rank multidimensional structure ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

A Sphere-Packing Modulated Space-Frequency Diversity Aided FFH-Assisted DSTBC System [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
In this treatise we demonstrate, how a high spatial and frequency diversity can be achieved by combining Differential Space-Time Block Coding (DSTBC) and Fast Frequency Hopping (FFH).

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Analysis of Serial Search Based Code Acquisition in the Multiple Transmit/Multiple Receive Antenna Aided DS-CDMA Downlink,

open access: yes, 2008
—In this paper, we investigate the serial-search-based initial code-acquisition performance of direct-sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) employing multiple transmit/multiple receive antennas when communicating over uncorrelated Rayleigh ...

Channel estimation and tracking for closed loop EO-STBC with differentially encoding feedback [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Extended orthogonal space time block coding (EO-STBC) can achieve high transmit diversity over a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel. To do so, it requires channel state information on the transmitter side, which needs to be estimated and fed ...

Transmit and Receive Diversity in MIMO Quantum Communication for High-Fidelity Video Transmission

open access: yesAlgorithms
Reliable transmission of high-quality video over wireless channels is challenged by fading and noise, which degrade visual quality and disrupt temporal continuity.
