Simulation of transitional flows through a turbine blade cascade with heat transfer for various flow conditions

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
The contribution deals with the simulation of the transitional flows with heat transfer by means the EARSM turbulence model of Hellsten [1] completed by the algebraic transition model of Straka and Příhoda [2] and by the three-equation model of Walters ...

Application of a multi-level grid method to transonic flow calculations [PDF]

open access: yes
A multi-level grid method was studied as a possible means of accelerating convergence in relaxation calculations for transonic flows. The method employs a hierarchy of grids, ranging from very coarse to fine.

3D‐Printed Hygroscopic Polymer Networks for High‐Humidity Triboelectric Nanogenerators to Wirelessly Power Implantable Electronic Devices‐ A Conceptual Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work develops 3D‐printable tribopolymer networks that can enhance triboelectric performance under high humidity environments. Polar hydrophilic functional groups and incorporation of zwitterionic monomers promote bound‐water–dominated interfacial polarization thereby increasing electrical outputs.

Study of Separation Control of Vortex Generators on Transonic Wings

open access: yesJournal of Fluid Science and Technology, 2011
Flows around vortex generators (VGs), which serve as one of the important flow control methods, are investigated by solving Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations. The influences on the main flow of VGs are intended to explore.

Transonic small disturbances equation applied to the solution of two-dimensional nonsteady flows [PDF]

open access: yes
Transonic nonsteady flows are of large practical interest. Aeroelastic instability prediction, control figured vehicle techniques or rotary wings in forward flight are some examples justifying the effort undertaken to improve knowledge of these problems ...

MXene/PEDOT Functional Coatings on Flexible Microelectrode Arrays for Multianalyte In Vivo Neurochemical Sensing and Electrophysiology

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A MXene/PEDOT coating enables multimodal functionality and dual‐analyte detection of dopamine and serotonin in flexible microelectrode arrays while enhancing electrophysiological recording quality. The anti‐fouling, low‐impedance interface overcomes key limitations of conventional coatings, providing a robust and versatile platform to investigate the ...
