Cytosolically synthesized chloroplast preproteins are translocated across the outer and inner envelope membranes through translocons called TOC and TIC, respectively. In green algae and plants, the TIC core is composed of essential membrane proteins, Tic12, Tic20, and Tic214.

Transport of intensity phase imaging by intensity spectrum fitting of exponentially spaced defocus planes [PDF]
We propose an alternative method for solving the Transport of Intensity equation (TIE) from a stack of through–focus intensity images taken by a microscope or lensless imager.

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Application of a Transition Transport Model to Industrially Relevant Aerodynamic Configurations
The correlation-based γ-Reθt transition transport model has been implemented into a hybrid Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes solver and evaluated on various basic test cases.

Evaluation of Eddy Viscosity Models in Predicting Free- Stream Turbulence Penetration
Turbulence schemes have long been developed and examined for their accuracy and stability in a variety of environments. While many industrial flows are highly turbulent, models have rarely been tested to explore whether their accuracy withstands such ...

This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.

Triviality of the 2D stochastic Allen-Cahn equation [PDF]
We consider the stochastic Allen-Cahn equation driven by mollified space-time white noise. We show that, as the mollifier is removed, the solutions converge weakly to 0, independently of the initial condition.

Retrogressive erosion induced by sand excavation on a riverbed
For understanding the issue of retrogressive erosion induced by excessive sand excavation on riverbed, including the influential factors, migration and prediction method, this paper provides a numerical model which is based on a set of equations ...

Quantitative phase microscopy for cellular dynamics based on transport of intensity equation
We demonstrate a simple method for quantitative phase imaging of tiny transparent objects such as living cells based on the transport of intensity equation. The experiments are performed using an inverted bright field microscope upgraded with a flipping imaging module, which enables to simultaneously create two laterally separated images with unequal ...
