Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Non-diffusive relaxation of a transient thermal grating analyzed with the Boltzmann transport equation

open access: yes, 2013
The relaxation of an one-dimensional transient thermal grating (TTG) in a medium with phonon-mediated thermal transport is analyzed within the framework of the Boltzmann transport equation (BTE), with the goal of extracting phonon mean free path (MFP ...

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

$ L^2 $ diffusive expansion for neutron transport equation

open access: yesCommunications in Analysis and Mechanics
One of the most classical and fundamental mathematical problems in kinetic theory is to study the diffusive limit of the neutron transport equation. As $ {\varepsilon}{\rightarrow}0 $, the phase space density $ u^{{\varepsilon}}({x}, {w}) $

Causal Heat Conduction Contravening the Fading Memory Paradigm

open access: yesEntropy, 2019
We propose a causal heat conduction model based on a heat kernel violating the fading memory paradigm. The resulting transport equation produces an equation for the temperature.

Inhibition of CDK9 enhances AML cell death induced by combined venetoclax and azacitidine

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The CDK9 inhibitor AZD4573 downregulates c‐MYC and MCL‐1 to induce death of cytarabine (AraC)‐resistant AML cells. This enhances VEN + AZA‐induced cell death significantly more than any combination of two of the three drugs in AraC‐resistant AML cells.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).

One-Dimensional Nonequilibrium Radiation-Transport Equation under Diffusion Approximation and Its Discrete Scheme

open access: yesAdvances in Condensed Matter Physics, 2014
Based on the nonlocal thermodynamic equilibrium state and large optical thickness of plasma, we establish one-dimensional nonequilibrium radiation-transport equation from diffusion approximation.
