Twitter as a transport layer platform [PDF]

open access: yes2015 Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language and Information Extraction, Social Media and Web Search FRUCT Conference (AINL-ISMW FRUCT), 2015
Internet messengers and social networks have become an integral part of modern digital life. We have in mind not only the interaction between individual users but also a variety of applications that exist in these applications. Typically, applications for social networks use the universal login system and rely on data from social networks.

Three-Dimensional Lattice Boltzmann Simulation of Liquid Water Transport in Porous Layer of PEMFC

open access: yesEntropy, 2015
A three-dimensional two-phase lattice Boltzmann model (LBM) is implemented and validated for qualitative study of the fundamental phenomena of liquid water transport in the porous layer of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC).

Facilitating mass transport in gas diffusion layer of PEMFC by fabricating micro-porous layer with dry layer preparation

open access: yes, 2008
For a proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC), dry layer preparation was optimized and applied to fabricate a micro-porous layer (MPL) for a gas diffusion layer (GDL).

Exploiting Temporal Variability in TCP Timestamps for Covert Channel Design

open access: yesIEEE Access
Information is a valuable asset for individuals, organizations, and governments, making secure transmission a critical concern. Cryptographic techniques are widely used to protect communication; however, in scenarios where the mere detection of ...

Vertical transport of pollutants by shallow cumuli from large eddy simulations [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics, 2012
This study investigates the vertical transport of a passive tracer in a shallow cumulus boundary layer using large eddy simulations. The tracer source is at the surface in one case, and in the inversion layer in the other case.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Transport Kinetics of Wetting Layers [PDF]

open access: yesEurophysics Letters (EPL), 1995
The transport kinetics of wetting layers of ethanol and propane on silver substrates is investigated by monitoring the temporal decay of pulsed-laser-induced spatial thickness modulations. Our method allows to distinguish between different transport mechanisms, such as direct exchange with the vapour phase, viscous flow within the wetting layer, or ...
