A review on perovskite solar cells (PSCs), materials and applications

open access: yesJournal of Materiomics, 2021
In recent years, the perovskite solar cells have gained much attention because of their ever-increasing power conversion efficiency (PCE), simple solution fabrication process, flyable, light-weight wearable and deployable for ultra-lightweight space and ...

Transport Kinetics of Wetting Layers [PDF]

open access: yesEurophysics Letters (EPL), 1995
The transport kinetics of wetting layers of ethanol and propane on silver substrates is investigated by monitoring the temporal decay of pulsed-laser-induced spatial thickness modulations. Our method allows to distinguish between different transport mechanisms, such as direct exchange with the vapour phase, viscous flow within the wetting layer, or ...

Enabling Realistic Cross-Layer Analysis based on Satellite Physical Layer Traces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We present a solution to evaluate the performance of transport protocols as a function of link layer reliability schemes (i.e. ARQ, FEC and Hybrid ARQ) applied to satellite physical layer traces.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

A two-layer shallow water model for bedload sediment transport: convergence to Saint-Venant-Exner model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
A two-layer shallow water type model is proposed to describe bedload sediment transport. The upper layer is filled by water and the lower one by sediment.

Minimum Thermal Conductivity of Superlattices

open access: yes, 1999
The phonon thermal conductivity of a multilayer is calculated for transport perpendicular to the layers. There is a cross over between particle transport for thick layers to wave transport for thin layers. The calculations shows that the conductivity has

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Spin transport in benzofurane bithiophene based organic spin valves

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2014
In this paper we present spin transport in organic spin-valves using benzofurane bithiophene (BF3) as spacer layer between NiFe and Co ferromagnetic electrodes.

A nonlinear model for rotationally constrained convection with Ekman pumping

open access: yes, 2016
It is a well established result of linear theory that the influence of differing mechanical boundary conditions, i.e., stress-free or no-slip, on the primary instability in rotating convection becomes asymptotically small in the limit of rapid rotation ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...
