Modelling and transposition of location-based games

Entertainment Computing, 2019
Abstract Design and development of Location-Based Games (LBG) are not trivial tasks due to their pervasive nature, multidisciplinary requirements, and global deployment issues. This paper presents a model-based approach to describe and generate LBGs. Our approach separates location data, game mechanics, and media content from the game implementation.

Constraint Programming Models for Transposition Distance Problem

2009
Genome Rearrangements addresses the problem of finding the minimum number of global operations, such as transpositions, reversals, fusions and fissions that transform a given genome into another. In this paper we deal with transposition events, which are events that change the position of two contiguous block of genes in the same chromosome.

Meta-Didactical Transposition: A Theoretical Model for Teacher Education Programmes

2013
We propose a new model for framing teacher education projects that takes both the research and the institutional dimensions into account. The model, which we call Meta-didactical Transposition, is based on Chevallard’s anthropological theory and is complemented by relevant elements that focus on the specificity of both researchers’ and teachers’ roles,

Evaluation of transposition models of solar irradiance over Egypt

Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, 2016
Abstract The main objective in this paper is to carry out evaluation of statistical comparison of the monthly hourly and the daily data of global, beam and diffuse solar radiation incident on a horizontal and inclined surfaces for Cairo, Egypt during the period time from 1984 to 2014. The maximum and minimum values of correlation coefficient (R2) are

Surgery and Behavioral Testing in the Tibial Neuroma Transposition Model in Rats

Journal of Visualized Experiments, 2023
The tibial neuroma transposition (TNT) is a rat model in which allodynia at the neuroma site (tibial nerve) can be independently evaluated from allodynia at the plantar surface of the hind paw innervated by the intact sural nerve. This TNT model is suitable to test therapies for neuroma pain, such as the potential superiority of certain surgical ...

The tibial neuroma transposition (TNT) model of neuroma pain and hyperalgesia

Pain, 2008
Peripheral nerve injury may lead to the formation of a painful neuroma. In patients, palpating the tissue overlying a neuroma evokes paraesthesias/dysaesthesias in the distribution of the injured nerve. Previous animal models of neuropathic pain have focused on the mechanical hyperalgesia and allodynia that develops at a location distant from the site ...

A Dynamic Neural Gradient Model of Two-Item and Intermediate Transposition

Neural Computation, 2018
Transposition is a tendency for organisms to generalize relationships between stimuli in situations where training does not objectively reward relationships over absolute, static associations. Transposition has most commonly been explained as either conceptual understanding of relationships (Köhler, 1938) as nonconceptual effects of neural memory ...

A proposed transpositional acupoint system in a mouse and rat model

Research in Veterinary Science, 2008
In acupuncture, the specificity of the point and the reproducibility of the location of the point are prerequisite to the specificity and reproducibility of research involving acupuncture stimulation. The transpositional method, which locates animal acupoints (AAs) on the surface of animal skin corresponding to the anatomic site of a human acupoint ...

A graphical model for computing the minimum cost transposition distance

2010 IEEE Information Theory Workshop, 2010
We address the problem of finding the minimum decomposition of a permutation in terms of transpositions with non-uniform cost. For metric-path costs, we describe exact polynomial-time decomposition algorithms. For extended-metric-path cost functions, we describe polynomial-time constant-approximation decomposition algorithms.

A Rudimentary Geometric Model for Contextual Transposition and Inversion

Journal of Music Theory, 1998
The dihedral group D, is, by definition, the (non-Abelian) group of symmetries of the n-sided regular polygon. It is well-known that the group of 12 transpositions and 12 inversions acting on the 12 pitch classes (T/I) is isomorphic to D12, as is the RiemannKlumpenhouwer Schritt/Wechsel group (S/W). It follows that T/I is isomorphic to S/W. However, in
