Thom’s Jet Transversality Theorem for Regular Maps

Journal of Geometric Analysis, 2020
We establish Thom’s jet transversality theorem for regular maps from an affine algebraic manifold to an algebraic manifold satisfying a suitable flexibility condition.

Transverse Lie

American Journal of Perinatology, 1990
To assess the impact of transverse lie on fetal and neonatal outcome, 14 mother and infant pairs with transverse lie were matched to 28 pairs with a vertex and 28 with a breech presentation. The control groups were matched for gestational age, route of delivery, type of anesthesia, and presence of labor.

About Intrinsic Transversality of Pairs of Sets

Set-Valued and Variational Analysis, 2017
The article continues the study of the ‘regular’ arrangement of a collection of sets near a point in their intersection. Such regular intersection or, in other words, transversality properties are crucial for the validity of qualification conditions in ...

Transversality versus strong tangential transversality

Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2023
The notion of transversality of the intersection of two smooth manifolds is extended to the Banach space setting, with many applications to variational analysis and optimization. It is closely related to that of regularity for sets -- while regularity refers to individual sets, transversality can be viewed as metric regularity of the intersection of ...

Transverse myelitis

The Laryngoscope, 1980
AbstractTransverse myelitis is a known complication of radiation treatment for carcinoma of the head and neck. Otolaryngologists treat patients who receive radiotherapy and should be familiar with this complication.During the past ten years there has been little or no mention made of this problem in the ENT literature.

Transverse-to-transverse diffuse ultrasonic double scattering

Ultrasonics, 2021
Previously, a transverse-to-transverse single scattering model (T-T SSR) was developed for a pulse echo configuration, which may have limitations for strongly scattering materials. In this work, a transverse-to-transverse double scattering model (T-T DSR) is presented to model the transverse ultrasonic backscatter more accurately.
