Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

On the Transverse Strength of Ore Carriers
When a large ore carrier is floating in the full load condition, a large amount of ore load is acting on the double bottom downwards and a large amount of buoyancy is acting on the wing tank upwards. In this case, it is expected that the relative deflection between the side shell and the longitudinal bulkhead increases and induces large stresses in the

Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Reducing cement consumption in mortar systems is essential for lowering the environmental impact of cement-based materials. Conventional mix design approaches rely mainly on particle size distribution and fineness modulus, which do not fully capture the ...

Shear transfer between precast prestressed bridge beams and in-situ concrete crosshead in continuous structures [PDF]
A detailed investigation was made to study the shear transfer between precast prestressed beams and in-situ concrete in a relatively new method of construction of continuous bridge decks where the ends of precast beams are connected to an integral in ...

Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

On the Transverse Strength of A Torpedo Boat
Data of the transient transverse stresses during slamming obtained from sea tests showed that the transverse strength of a torpedo boat was considerably affected by the longitudinals, because the longitudinals were parts of strength members to resist the impact loads upon slamming another words, the external forces were transmitted to bottom ...

Transverse Strength of Ships [PDF]
The research study presented in this thesis is principally concerned with the transverse strength problem of ship structures. The main interest of the study lies in naval ships such as frigates and small destroyers which usually have a rise of floor in ...

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...
