Assessment of the efficiency of Funnel net and Hokkaido traps for Astacus leptodactylus Eschscholtz, 1823 catching in ponds [PDF]

open access: yesبوم‌شناسی آبزیان, 2020
Various fishing tools have been used for catching Astacus leptodactylus in the world. In this research, a trap was specially designed for crayfish fishing with some changes in the shape and dimensions of the Hokkaido trap, and its efficiency was compared

Entrance Shape of Fish Trap and Fishing Efficiency.

open access: yesNIPPON SUISAN GAKKAISHI, 1996
The ingress and escape behavior for a fish trap was studied through experiments in the laboratory using green fish Girella punctata. The fish behavior for a simplified funnel set in the aquarium was recorded on video tape. An index of structure for various sizes of funnel-shape entrances was introduced as a means of analyzing the entrapping difficulty.

Real‐time assay of ribonucleotide reductase activity with a fluorescent RNA aptamer

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ribonucleotide reductases (RNR) synthesize DNA building blocks de novo, making them crucial in DNA replication and drug targeting. FLARE introduces the first single‐tube real‐time coupled RNR assay, which enables isothermal tracking of RNR activity at nanomolar enzyme levels and allows the reconstruction of allosteric regulatory patterns and rapid ...

PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.
