The Material and Textual Value of Manuscript and Print Binding Waste☆
Abstract In 2019, the Foundation of Christ's Hospital at Lincoln made a bequest of early printed books to the Bodleian Library. The collection is rich in sixteenth‐century tooled bindings, many of which preserve manuscript and printed waste in the form of pastedowns, endleaves and endleaf guards.

Lower-than-expected flare temperatures for TRAPPIST-1
Aims. Stellar flares emit thermal and nonthermal radiation in the X-ray and ultraviolet (UV) regime. Although high energetic radiation from flares is a potential threat to exoplanet atmospheres and may lead to surface sterilization, it might also provide the extra energy for low-mass stars needed to trigger and sustain prebiotic chemistry.

Abstract Several missions to Venus have recently been selected for launch, opening a new era for the exploration of the planet. A key question these missions seek to address is whether Venus is geologically active today. Detecting active volcanism on Venus would contribute to a better understanding of volcanic and atmospheric processes on Earth.
