PURCHASING TOURISM SERVICES THROUGH ONLINE TRAVEL AGENCY: DOES ELECTRONIC WORD-OF-MOUTH HAVE INFLUENCE? AN EMPIRICAL STUDY ON BANGLADESHI TOURISTS [PDF]

open access: yesGeo Journal of Tourism and Geosites
Tourists nowadays are more dependent on online reviews to make different travel decisions. Electronic word of mouth has been playing a key role in influencing the purchase intention of tourists who travel through an online travel agency. In this context,

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

GAP IN THE STUDENTS' AND TRAVEL AGENCIES' OPINION ON THE NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO WORK IN TRAVEL AGENCIES

open access: yesJOURNAL OF TOURSIM AND HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT, 2022
Travel agencies are important stakeholders in the development of tourism in the destination. They create integrated tourism products with high value added. Therefore, in addition to formal knowledge, they expect specific skills from their employees. However, the study programmes of educational institutions in the field of tourism often focus more on ...

Weakening the nuclear envelope: Lamin B receptor in melanoma metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
LBR‐driven nuclear fragility supports melanoma invasion. A: Melanocyte presents low LBR (Lamin B Receptor) levels, maintaining nuclear integrity and lamina‐chromatin tethering. B: During malignant progression, upregulation of LBR clusters at the INM (Inner Nuclear Membrane) during confined migration causes local lamina weakening and cholesterol ...

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Erythropoietin modulates hepatic inflammation, glucose homeostasis, and soluble epoxide hydrolase and epoxides in high‐fat diet‐induced obese mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Erythropoietin administration suppresses hepatic soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) expression, leading to increased CYP‐derived epoxides. This is associated with a shift in hepatic macrophage polarization characterized by reduced M1 markers and increased M2 markers, along with reduced hepatic inflammation, suppressed hepatic lipogenesis, and attenuated ...
