Accounting for spillover when using the augmented synthetic control method: estimating the effect of localized COVID-19 lockdowns in Chile [PDF]
The implementation of public health policies, particularly in a single or small set of units (e.g., regions), can create complex dynamics with effects extending beyond the directly treated areas. This paper examines the direct effect of COVID-19 lockdowns in Chile on the comunas where they were enacted and the spillover effect from neighboring comunas.

Consensus molecular subtypes (CMS1‐4) have been identified to study colorectal cancer heterogeneity and serve as potential biomarkers. In this study, we developed and evaluated NanoCMSer, a NanoString‐based classifier using 55 genes, optimized for FF and FFPE to facilitate the clinical evaluation of CMS subtyping.

Tumor microenvironment drives cancer formation and progression. We analyzed the role of human cancer‐associated adipocytes from patients with renal cell carcinoma (RCC) stratified as lean, overweight, or obese. RNA‐seq demonstrated that, among the most altered genes involved in the tumor–stroma crosstalk, are ADAM12 and CYP1B1, which were proven to be ...

Extending torsors on the punctured Spec(A_inf) [PDF]
We prove that torsors under parahoric group schemes on the punctured spectrum of Fontaine's ring $A_{\mathrm{inf}}$, extend to the whole spectrum. Using descent we can extend a similar result for the ring $\mathfrak{S}$ of Kisin and Pappas to full generality. Moreover, we treat similarly the case of equal characteristic.

Estimating Semiparametric Panel Data Models by Marginal Integration [PDF]
We propose a new methodology for estimating semiparametric panel data models, with a primary focus on the nonparametric component. We eliminate individual effects using first differencing transformation and estimate the unknown function by marginal ...

Large multidimensional digital images of cancer tissue are becoming prolific, but many challenges exist to automatically extract relevant information from them using computational tools. We describe publicly available resources that have been developed jointly by expert and non‐expert computational biologists working together during a virtual hackathon
