Almost analytic extensions of ultradifferentiable functions with applications to microlocal analysis
We review and extend the description of ultradifferentiable functions by their almost analytic extensions, i.e., extensions to the complex domain with specific vanishing rate of the $\bar \partial$-derivative near the real domain.

Taurine promotes glucagon‐like peptide‐1 secretion in enteroendocrine L cells
Taurine, a sulfur‐containing amino acid, is likely taken up by enteroendocrine L cells via the taurine transporter. This process increases the levels of cytosolic ATP. The increase in intracellular Ca2+ concentrations and glucagon‐like peptide‐1 secretion through membrane depolarization is caused by the closure of ATP‐sensitive potassium channels ...

Quantum-number projection in the path-integral renormalization group method
We present a quantum-number projection technique which enables us to exactly treat spin, momentum and other symmetries embedded in the Hubbard model.

Chondrosarcoma secondary to hereditary multiple exostosis treated by extended internal hemiplevectomy [PDF]
The authors report on the case of a 28-year-old patient with extensive chondrosarcoma of the left ischium and pubis involving hip joint, skin, and soft tissue of the gluteal region, secondary to hereditary multiple exostosis submitted to an extended internal Enneking type II and Ill hemipelvectomy. No prosthesis or arthrodesis was used. A few years ago,

The NlpC_P60 superfamily of peptidases is recognised by its key role in bacterial cell wall homeostasis. Recently, studies have also described the involvement of NlpC_P60‐like enzymes in bacterial competitive mechanisms and pathogenesis across several lineages.

Extended International Normalized Ratio testing intervals for warfarin‐treated patients [PDF]
Essentials Warfarin typically requires International Normalized Ratio (INR) testing at least every 4 weeks. We implemented extended INR testing for stable warfarin patients in six anticoagulation clinics. Use of extended INR testing increased from 41.8% to 69.3% over the 3 year study. Use of extended INR testing appeared safe and effective. Background A

Making tau amyloid models in vitro: a crucial and underestimated challenge
This review highlights the challenges of producing in vitro amyloid assemblies of the tau protein. We review how accurately the existing protocols mimic tau deposits found in the brain of patients affected with tauopathies. We discuss the important properties that should be considered when forming amyloids and the benchmarks that should be used to ...

Thermodynamics and overcharging problem in the extended phase spaces of charged AdS black holes with cloud of strings and quintessence under charged particle absorption [PDF]
The thermodynamics and overcharging problem in the RN-AdS black hole with the cloud of strings and quintessence are investigated by absorption of scalar particle and fermion in the extend phase space. The cosmological constant is treated as the pressure with a conjugate volume.

Exciton Trapping Is Responsible for the Long Apparent Lifetime in Acid-Treated MoS2 [PDF]
Here, we show that deep trapped "dark" exciton states are responsible for the surprisingly long lifetime of band-edge photoluminescence in acid-treated single-layer MoS2. Temperature-dependent transient photoluminescence spectroscopy reveals an exponential tail of long-lived states extending hundreds of meV into the band gap.
