Git Density 2022.10: Analyze git repositories to extract the Source Code Density and other Commit Properties

open access: yes, 2022
Git Density (git-density) is a tool to analyze git-repositories with the goal of detecting the source code density. It was developed during the research phase of the short technical paper and poster "A changeset-based approach to assess source code ...

A lonely dot on the map: Exploring the climate signal in tree-ring density and stable isotopes of clanwilliam cedar, South Africa [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Clanwilliam cedar (Widdringtonia cedarbergensis; WICE), a long-lived conifer with distinct tree rings in Cape Province, South Africa, has potential to provide a unique high-resolution climate proxy for southern Africa. However, the climate signal in WICE

On Rainbow Turán Densities of Trees

open access: yesRandom Structures & Algorithms
ABSTRACTFor a given collection of graphs on a common vertex set , which we call a graph system, a graph on a vertex set is called a rainbow subgraph of if there exists an injective function such that for each . The maximum value of over ‐vertex graph systems having no rainbow subgraph isomorphic to is called the rainbow Turán number of .

Density trees for efficient nonlinear state estimation

open access: yes2010 13th International Conference on Information Fusion, 2010
In this paper, a new class of nonlinear Bayesian estimators based on a special space partitioning structure, generalized Octrees, is presented. This structure minimizes memory and calculation overhead. It is used as a container framework for a set of node functions that approximate a density piecewise.

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

How to Define Spacing Among Forest Trees to Mitigate Competition: A Technical Note

open access: yesBiology
Establishing an optimum range of inter-species spacing that reduces competition among trees and mitigates the effects of drought is a critical yet complex challenge in forest management.

Evaluation level of tree diversity in the Hyrcanian forests using complex structural diversity index (Case study: beech-hornbeam type, Nav-e Asalem, Gilan) [PDF]

open access: yesتحقیقات جنگل و صنوبر ایران, 2017
Stand structure and species diversity are two useful parameters for complex assessment of forest biodiversity, and provide important information for management and decision making for appropriate silvicultural system.

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Temporally resolved intra-annual wood density variations in European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) as affected by climate and aspect

open access: yes, 2012
We investigated the temporal variability of intra-annual wood density variations in European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) in a valley in southwestern Germany. Samples were collected from 11 beech trees growing at north-west (NW) and south-west (SW) exposed
