On the Relation Between Treewidth, Tree-Independence Number, and Tree-Chromatic Number of Graphs [PDF]
We investigate two recently introduced graph parameters, both of which measure the complexity of the tree decompositions of a given graph. Recall that the treewidth $\tw(G)$ of a graph $G$ measures the largest number of vertices required in a bag of every tree decomposition of $G$.

2D Ruddlesden‐Popper phase perovskite (RPP) films for applications in photovoltaics are shown to exhibit structural heterogeneities at both microscopic and mesoscopic scales that can affect cross‐film charge carrier transport. The mechanisms of RPP film formation and the possible means to control film structure to optimize 2D perovskite solar cell ...

Theoretical insights and an experimental comparison of tango trees and multi-splay trees [PDF]
The tango tree is the first proven $O(\lg \lg n)$-competitive binary search tree (BST). We present the first ever experimental implementation of tango trees and compare the running time of the tango tree with the multi-splay tree and the splay tree on a variety of families of access sequences.

Large Bidirectional Refractive Index Change in Silicon‐rich Nitride via Visible Light Trimming
Continuous‐wave visible light trimming of PECVD silicon‐rich nitride micro‐ring resonators enables precise, large bidirectional refractive index tuning. Resonance shifts as fine as 10 pm are achieved with a cost‐effective setup, demonstrating large red shifts of 49.1 nm and blue shifts of 10.6 nm.
