Iteration Trees [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the American Mathematical Society, 1994
This paper gives a further report on work done some years ago, which has led to relatively complete understanding of the relationship between the consistency of determinacy and large cardinals.

Disordered but rhythmic—the role of intrinsic protein disorder in eukaryotic circadian timing

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Unstructured domains known as intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are present in nearly every part of the eukaryotic core circadian oscillator. IDRs enable many diverse inter‐ and intramolecular interactions that support clock function. IDR conformations are highly tunable by post‐translational modifications and environmental conditions, which ...

Transcriptome Analysis of the Late-Acting Self-Incompatibility Associated with RNase T2 Family in Camellia oleifera

open access: yesPlants, 2023
The Camellia oil tree (Camellia oleifera Abel.) is an important nonwood forest species in China, and the majority of its cultivars are late-acting self-incompatibility (LSI) types.

Interlude At Dawn [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Joey, Minnie Wilson\u27s little black rooster, ended his raucous greeting to the new day and began to strut proudly about the back yard, pausing only to preen the glossy feathers of his neck or to peck at some nearly invisible object on the ...

Generic Ising Trees [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The Ising model on an infinite generic tree is defined as a thermodynamic limit of finite systems. A detailed description of the corresponding distribution of infinite spin configurations is given.

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Analysis of combining ability and heterosis based on controlled pollination populations of eucalypt

open access: yesScientific Reports
Artificial hybridization remains the most effective method for genetic improvement of eucalypt, though limited research exists on the genetic basis of heterosis for interesting traits in Chinese eucalypt.

Transcriptomic and metabolomic profiling provide novel insights into fruit development and flesh coloration in Prunus mira Koehne, a special wild peach species

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology, 2019
Background Flesh color is one of the most important traits for the commercial value of peach fruit. To unravel the underlying regulatory network in Prunus mira, we performed an integrated analysis of the transcriptome and metabolome of 3 fruit types with

Clique trees of infinite locally finite chordal graphs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We investigate clique trees of infinite locally finite chordal graphs. Our main contribution is a bijection between the set of clique trees and the product of local finite families of finite trees.

Width and mode of the profile for some random trees of logarithmic height

open access: yes, 2006
We propose a new, direct, correlation-free approach based on central moments of profiles to the asymptotics of width (size of the most abundant level) in some random trees of logarithmic height.
