Triangulated surfaces in triangulated categories [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the European Mathematical Society, 2018
For a triangulated category \mathcal A with a 2-periodic dg-enhancement and a triangulated oriented marked surface S , we introduce a dg-category

Improving the Robustness of Visual Teach‐and‐Repeat Navigation Using Drift Error Correction and Event‐Based Vision for Low‐Light Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Visual teach‐and‐repeat (VTR) navigation allows robots to learn and follow routes without building a full metric map. We show that navigation accuracy for VTR can be improved by integrating a topological map with error‐drift correction based on stereo vision.

Public health workforce survey data (2016–2021) related to employee turnover: proposed methods for harmonization and triangulation

open access: yesFrontiers in Public Health
IntroductionPublic health workforce numbers are unsustainable at best and dire at worst: based on 2017 and 2019 data, 80,000 FTEs needed to be hired by health departments to provide basic public health foundational services before COVID-19 hit ...

Multiple Sources Localization by the WSN Using the Direction-of-Arrivals Classified by the Genetic Algorithm

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Simultaneously locating multiple sources passively in the wireless sensor networks (WSN) is challenging in the internet of things (IoT) applications, where reducing the computation and communication load is of great importance due to the requirement on ...

Triangulating a Plane [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In this theoretical paper we consider the problem of accurately triangulating a scene plane. Rather than first triangulating a set of points and then fitting a plane to these points, we try to minimize the back-projection errors as functions of the plane parameters directly. As this is both geometrically and statistically meaningful our method performs

Tumbling Magnetic Microrobots for Targeted In Vivo Drug Delivery in the GI Tract

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
We introduce a microrobot design and integrated system for on‐demand targeted drug release in the gastrointestinal tract. The microrobot has an embedded magnet for actuation with external magnetic fields and is visualized in real time using ultrasound. It has two drug release ports sealed with a thermally sensitive wax. Local heating of the wax using a

On deletion in Delaunay triangulations [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the fifteenth annual symposium on Computational geometry, 1999
This paper presents how the space of spheres and shelling may be used to delete a point from a d-dimensional triangulation efficiently. In dimension two, if k is the degree of the deleted vertex, the complexity is O(k log k), but we notice that this number only applies to low cost operations, while time consuming computations are only done a linear ...

Intelligent Sky Guardians (InSkyGuard): An Aerial Robotic Swarm for Autonomous Detection and Entrapment of Rogue Multirotors

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Intelligent Sky Guardians (InSkyGuard) is introduced as a four‐drone swarm that autonomously detects, tracks, and safely captures rogue drones using a coordinated net system. Computer vision and leader–follower control architecture enable synchronized enclosure, while integrated failsafes enhance system reliability. Validated through closed‐environment
