New Insights Into the Triangulum Australis Supercluster of Galaxies

open access: yesAstronomy and Astrophysics, 2022
The Triangulum Australis cluster is one of about a dozen nearby massive cluster systems which contribute to the gravitational pullbehind the so-called Great Attractor that is dominated by the nearby Shapley Supercluster mass, which conforms the galaxy velocityflows observed in that general direction.

The Geometric Distance and Proper Motion of the Triangulum Galaxy (M33) [PDF]

open access: yesScience, 2005
We measured the angular rotation and proper motion of the Triangulum Galaxy (M33) with the Very Long Baseline Array by observing two H 2 O masers on opposite sides of the galaxy. By comparing the angular rotation rate with the inclination and rotation speed, we obtained a distance of 730 ± 168 kiloparsecs.

The Haunted Halos of Andromeda and Triangulum: A Panorama of Galaxy Formation in Action [PDF]

open access: yesAstrophysical Journal, 2007
We present a deep photometric survey of M31, conducted with the CFHT and INT, covering the inner 50 kpc of the galaxy, the Southern quadrant out to 150 kpc, and extending to M33. This is the first systematic panoramic study of this very outermost region of galaxies. We detect several streams and other large-scale structures, and two new dwarf galaxies:

PAndAS’ CUBS: Discovery of Two New Dwarf Galaxies in the Surroundings of the Andromeda and Triangulum Galaxies [PDF]

open access: yesAstrophysical Journal, 2009
We present the discovery of two new dwarf galaxies, Andromeda XXI and Andromeda XXII, located in the surroundings of the Andromeda and Triangulum galaxies (M31 and M33). These discoveries stem from the first year data of the Pan-Andromeda Archaeological Survey (PAndAS), a photometric survey of the M31/M33 group conducted with the Megaprime/MegaCam wide-
