Feeding and defaecation patterns in Triatoma sordida [PDF]
Triatoma sordida is a peridomestic Triatominae that could play an important role in the transmission of Trypanosoma cruzi, although its vectorial competence is not well known. Foi observado o comportamento do Triatoma sordida, mantido em condições de laboratório em estufas com umidade relativa do ar de 60-70% e temperatura de 25°C e 30°C. A temperatura mais alta determinou um encurtamento da duração das fases de evolução. Os machos tiveram a duração do 5.° estádio maior do que a das fêmeas.
