Abstract BACKGROUND Chinese steamed bread (CSB) is a traditional East Asian staple. Its texture and nutrition depend on the gluten and starch content of the wheat flour that it contains. Incorporation of golden kiwifruit, which is rich in dietary fiber, vitamin C, and phenolic antioxidants, offers a novel fortification strategy.

ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS ASSOCIATED WITH REDUCING THE USE OF ATRAZINE: AN EXAMPLE OF CROSS-DISCIPLINARY RESEARCH [PDF]
Restricting or eliminating the use of atrazine in the Midwest would have important economic consequences for farmers, consumers, and the environment. These consequences can only be evaluated with cooperation between economists and weed scientists.

Abstract BACKGROUND Sweet cherry (Prunus avium L.) is a high‐value fruit crop, but its commercial success is often limited by poor pigmentation, reduced firmness, and short shelf life. This study evaluated the effects of preharvest applications of prohexadione‐calcium (1.5 L ha−1) on fruit quality and storage performance in lowland and hilly orchards ...

This study validates a DFT‐employed screening approach for discovering new adsorbent materials for organic dyes, successfully identifying CCTAT POP as a highly effective adsorbent for Congo red dye. The POP material exhibits a superior adsorption capacity (46.51 mg g−1) and maintains a regeneration ability, achieving over 90% removal efficiency in ...

Photoresponsive Metallo‐Supramolecular Systems Constructed From a Bidentate Ligand
Metallosupramolecular polymer organogels based on dynamic metal–ligand (ML) cross‐links are rendered optically responsive by incorporating a photoacid generator. Exposing these systems to UV light releases an acid that protonates the ligands, causing network disassembly and thereby softening.
