Advanced Porous Materials for Maritime Carbon Capture

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Carbon capture from emission sources, such as marine vessels, has attracted significant attention over the years. To achieve this goal, sorbents such as metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), porous polymer networks (PPNs), covalent organic frameworks (COFs), and their post‐synthetic modifications are currently being explored.

Assorbimento di alcune triazine simmetriche su una bentonite di Uri (Sardegna) [PDF]

open access: yes, 1979
The adsorpition of six s-triazines of the chloro- and methoxy-analogue series on a bentonite from Uri (Sardinia) was studied. The H-bentonite shows a higher adsorption than the Na-bentonite.

Correlated Dual‐Gradient Electrodes Enabling Spatially Synchronized Sulfur Redox in High‐Mass‐Loading Li–S Batteries Under High Current Densities

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Coupling a dual‐gradient carbonized framework with Fe2O3/Fe‐N‐C catalytic sites enables spatially synchronized sulfur redox across the entire electrode thickness in high‐mass‐loading Li–S batteries. This synergistic structural–catalytic design effectively mitigates concentration, ohmic, and electrochemical polarization, thereby achieving high‐capacity ...

Design, Synthesis and Pharmacological Evaluation of Novel Hsp90N‐terminal Inhibitors Without Induction of Heat Shock Response

open access: yesChemistryOpen, 2019
Heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90) is a potential oncogenic target. However, Hsp90 inhibitors in clinical trial induce heat shock response, resulting in drug resistance and inefficiency.

TADF‐Emitting Dendrimers for Scalable Bar‐Coating Fabrication of Light‐Emitting Electrochemical Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
TADF‐emitting dendrimers promise to enable scalable solution‐based fabrication of efficient electroluminescent devices by the virtue of an attractive set of properties. Here, we report on how light‐emitting electrochemical cells, comprising the TADF‐dendrimer tBuCz2m2pTRZ, can be fabricated by scalable bar‐coating under ambient air and deliver uniform ...

Hollow Fibre Membrane-Protected Molecularly Imprinted Microsolid-Phase Extraction (HFM-Protected-MI-MSPE) of Triazines from Soil Samples

open access: yesSeparations, 2018
In this work, a combination of molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) technology with micro solid-phase extraction in a hollow fibre device is described. MIP microspheres were synthesized and packed into polypropylene hollow fibre (HF) segments.

Effect of Host Anisotropy on Phosphorescent Emitter Orientation and Light Outcoupling in OLEDs

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
The orientation of the emissive transition dipole moment of a cage‐type Iridium complex can be tuned by the anisotropic alignment of the cohost material, which is expressed as the S$S$ parameter of the film. Thus, the external quantum efficiency of OLEDs can be further enhanced to reach values above 30%.
