Tribological behaviour of copper oxide nanoparticle suspension [PDF]
This work presents and discusses the tribological behaviour of nanoparticle suspensions in a polyalphaolefin (PAO6). CuO nanoparticles were separately dispersed at 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0% wt. in PAO6 using an ultrasonic probe for 2 minutes.

Orientation dependent tribological behavior of TiN coatings
The preferred growth direction of cathodic arc physical vapor deposition-produced TiN coatings changes from (1 1 1) to (2 2 0) with high voltage pulsed bias application in the presence of Ar gas. In this study, tribological properties of these coatings were investigated via reciprocating wear tests against an inert counterbody for observing the role of

Tribological and Emission Behavior of Novel Friction Materials [PDF]
The tribological behavior and the related airborne particles emission of three copper-free automotive friction materials are investigated. The tests were conducted using a pin-on-disc tribometer equipped with a specifically designed clean-enclosure chamber for the emission measurement. Particle number concentration from particle size 0.3 µm up to 10 µm

A study of the successful preparation and tribological self-regulation of a novel hybrid lamination of the SiCf/Ti–Ti2AlNb-based gears [PDF]
For enhancing the tribological behavior of gear-driven systems, TA, AO, GNS, SiCf and Ti are used to prepare Ti-based composite foils that are subsequently combined with Ti2AlNb foils to prepare laminated samples for use in aviation gearing systems ...
