Tribological behaviour of copper oxide nanoparticle suspension [PDF]
This work presents and discusses the tribological behaviour of nanoparticle suspensions in a polyalphaolefin (PAO6). CuO nanoparticles were separately dispersed at 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0% wt. in PAO6 using an ultrasonic probe for 2 minutes.

Tribological Properties of Ionic Liquids
An ionic liquid is a liquid salt consisting of anions and cations. Since Wilkes [1] synthesized a low melting point ionic liquid that is stable in air in 1992, there has been active fundamen‐ tal research and engineering development directed at applications.

Friction torque, temperature and roughness in roll-slip phenomenon for polymer–steel contacts [PDF]
The current study gives an insight of the roll-slip phenomenon of polymer-metal pair where priority is given to measurement techniques, test duration and the behavior of the polymer. A systematic tribological measurement was used to identify the friction

Fundamental tribological properties of ceramics [PDF]
When a ceramic is brought into contact with itself, another ceramic, or a metal, strong bond forces can develop between the materials. Adhesion between a ceramic and itself or another solid are discussed from a theoretical consideration of the nature of ...
