Neurotoxic Effects of Prenatal Trichlorfon Administration in Pigs [PDF]

open access: yesActa Veterinaria Scandinavica, 1987
Pregnant sows were administered trichlorfon (Neguvon®) during gestation. Examination of the offspring revealed clinical symptoms which included ataxia and tremor. The weights of the cerebrum and the celebellum were significantly reduced (67% and 41% of the control values).

Preparation of a Sensor Based on Biomass Porous Carbon/Covalent-Organic Frame Composites for Pesticide Residues Detection

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2020
In this work, a covalent-organic framework with high carbon and nitrogen content microstructures (named COF-LZU1), assisted by 3D nitrogen-containing kenaf stem composites (represented as COF-LZU1/3D-KSCs), was constructed.

Bath Treatments With Emamectin Benzoate Control Dactylogyrideans Infecting Colossoma macropomum Gills Without Altering Physiology of This Host Fish

open access: yesJournal of Fish Diseases, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Intensification of fish aquaculture worldwide has led to severe problems of diseases caused by parasitic dactylogyrideans. In this study, the anti‐dactylogyridean efficacy of treating Colossoma macropomum with baths of emamectin benzoate (EMB) was investigated for the first time, along with the effects of this treatment on the haematology and ...

Challenges and opportunities in mitigating sarcoptic mange in wild South American camelids

open access: yesThe Journal of Wildlife Management, Volume 90, Issue 1, January 2026.
Wild South American camelids—vicuña and guanaco—face threats from sarcoptic mange, a contagious skin disease linked to severe population declines. Despite its impact, major gaps remain in understanding disease dynamics. This review summarizes current knowledge, identifies key data and management gaps, and outlines urgent actions for effective ...

Development of a quantum dot-labelled biomimetic fluorescence immunoassay for the simultaneous determination of three organophosphorus pesticide residues in agricultural products

open access: yesFood and Agricultural Immunology, 2019
In this study, we used 2-(diethexyphosphoryl)acetic acid as a common template molecule and Fe3O4@SiO2 as support material to prepare a superparamagnetic core/shell molecular imprinting polymer (MIP), Fe3O4@SiO2@MIP, which has multiple recognition sites ...

A Comparative Study of Two Different Polarity Extracts of Angelica sinensis on Growth, Body Composition, and Metabolism in Juvenile Carp

open access: yesAquaculture Nutrition, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
This study investigated the effects of low and high polarity extracts (LPE and HPE) of Angelica sinensis (AS) on growth, body composition, and metabolism in carp (Cyprinus carpio var. Jian). Over a 42‐day period, 780 fish were randomly separated into 13 groups with three replicate aquariums respectively.
