Abstract Trichloroethylene (TCE) is an industrial solvent and de greasing agent. TCE was formerly used as a general anesthetic; it has been abandoned in North America because its use is associated with arrhythmia and fluctuation in blood pressure from myocardial sensitization to catecholamines.
