Recent Advances in Biology, Epidemiology and Host Resistance to Potato Powdery Scab

open access: yesPlant Pathology, Volume 75, Issue 3, May–June 2026.
This review highlights recent advances in understanding powdery scab and potato resistance, providing new perspectives for developing durable and integrated strategies to manage the disease. ABSTRACT Powdery scab of potatoes (Solanum tuberosum) is caused by the soil‐borne protist Spongospora subterranea f. sp. subterranea (Sss).

Optimization of mutanase production by Trichoderma harzianum

open access: yesAfrican Journal of Biotechnology, 2014
The present paper describes optimization of fermentation conditions in shaken flasks and scale-up of fermentor production up to 115 L. The response surface methodology (RSM) has been successfully applied in standardization of mutanase production by Trichoderma harzianum CCM F-340.

Transfer of Isolated Nuclei into Protoplasts of Trichoderma harzianum [PDF]

open access: yesApplied and Environmental Microbiology, 1990
Protoplasts released from young hyphae of Trichoderma harzianum contained 0 to 10 nuclei per protoplast, and most (about 80%) contained from 4 to 6 nuclei. Most protoplasts were larger than 3 μm in diameter. Nuclei were isolated from protoplasts of an auxotrophic mutant of T.

Specific and Multi‐Product Clade I and Clade IV Sesquiterpene Synthases Contribute to the Psilocybe cubensis Volatilome

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 27, Issue 8, April 2026.
Five sesquiterpene synthases of Psilocybe cubensis were investigated in vitro and in vivo. CubF is a clade I synthase producing α‐muurolol, whereas clade IV synthases CubG1 and CubG2 produce epi‐isozizaene and β‐duprezianene. Further clade IV synthases CubH and CubI primarily make dauca‐4(11),8‐diene and β‐barbatene, respectively.

Trichoderma spp. in innovative substrates for ornamental plants

open access: yes, 2012
Trichoderma spp. are free-living fungi commonly widespread in soil and root ecosystems. Recent discoveries show them as opportunistic, avirulent plant symbionts as well as parasites of other fungi.

Impact of Trichoderma-based products on Sclerotinia sclerotiorum

open access: yesPesquisa Agropecuária Tropical
Trichoderma-based products are deployed on a large scale in regions where white mold is important. However, little is known about the contribution of alternating these products on sclerotia parasitism, disease incidence and
