Loop-mediated isothermal amplification-microfluidic chip for the detection of Trichophyton infection
Trichophyton is the most pathogenic type of fungal skin infection. It often invades and grows in a keratin-rich matrix, and lesions include human skin, hair, and fingernails (toenails).

Clinical Isolate of a Multi-Antifungal-Resistant Trichophyton rubrum
The multi-antifungal drug-resistant strain (NUBS21012) of Trichophyton rubrum was isolated from a patient with recurrent tinea corporis. The resistant strain encoded Phe at codon 393 instead of Leu (L393F) in the squalene epoxidase (SQLE) gene.

Possible Role of Superoxidised Water in the Treatment of Trichophyton Infections: An In vitro Study
Superficial fungal infections are the common health seeking problem. These fungal infections are caused by three genera of Dermatophytes, naming Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton. Among these three, Trichophyton spp.

Previous reports (1, 2) have presented evidence that Microsporum cards and Microsporum gypseum possess keratinolytic activity on ethylene oxide sterilized wool and that several strains of Candida albicans do not possess such activity. In this report we present data indicating that Trichophyton schoenleini and Trichophyton ru-brum organisms possess ...

In vitro biofilms and antifungal susceptibility of dermatophyte and non-dermatophyte moulds involved in foot mycosis [PDF]
Tinea pedis and onychomycosis are among the commonest fungal diseases in the world. Dermatophytes and, less frequently, non-dermatophyte moulds are aetiological agents of foot mycosis and are capable of forming biofilms.
