Antimicrobial Photodynamic Therapy With New Methylene Blue and Its Combined Effect With Antibiotics Against MDR Acinetobacter baumannii

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen, Volume 15, Issue 3, June 2026.
NMB‐mediated aPDT significantly inhibited MDR A. baumannii and enhanced the efficacy of tigecycline and colistin through synergistic or additive interactions. Increased ROS generation during aPDT and combination therapy may contribute to the observed antibacterial effects.

From plant to fabric: Environmental opportunities associated with annatto dye for sustainable development in the textile industry

open access: yesColoration Technology, Volume 142, Issue 3, Page 333-353, June 2026.
Abstract Natural dyes are compounds that occur naturally in several organisms and are classified based on chemical structure and application method. The literature cites several natural dyes used in industrial transformation processes. Annatto dye is used in the food industry, and its biological pigment is extracted from the annatto seed. However, this

Comprehensive analysis of proteins secreted by Trichophyton rubrum and Trichophyton violaceum under in vitro conditions.

open access: yes, 2007
Dermatophytes cause most superficial mycoses in humans and animals. Their pathogenicity is probably linked with the secretion of proteins degrading keratinised structures.

S1 Guideline on Infected Interdigital Intertrigo (also called Gram‐Negative Toe Web Infection)

open access: yesJDDG: Journal der Deutschen Dermatologischen Gesellschaft, Volume 24, Issue 6, Page 832-843, June 2026.
Summary Infected interdigital intertrigo is an exudative, macerating, mixed infection of the toe webs in which gram‐negative bacteria (Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterobacterales) seem prevalent, but in which gram‐positive pathogens (Staphylococcus [S.] aureus, streptococci, enterococci) and fungi (dermatophytes, yeasts) also occur.
