Effect of Thermal Treatment of Chamomile (Marticaria chamomella) Extract on the Growth Inhibition of Some Pathogenic Fungi

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Microbiology, 2020
This Study shows the effect of thermal treatment of chamomile (Marticaria chamomella) extract with different concentrations (5,10,15,20,25,30) mg / ml, on inhibition of some pathogenic fungi such as Trichophyton rubrum and Aspergillus fumigatus under the

Deep and disseminated dermatophytosis in immunocompromised populations—A systematic review

open access: yesJournal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, EarlyView.
Dermatophyte infections of the dermis and subcutaneous tissue (i.e. deep dermatophytosis)—associated with secondary complications including pseudomycetoma and systemic dissemination—affect vulnerable populations with primary or acquired immunodeficiencies.

Loop-mediated isothermal amplification-microfluidic chip for the detection of Trichophyton infection

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2022
Trichophyton is the most pathogenic type of fungal skin infection. It often invades and grows in a keratin-rich matrix, and lesions include human skin, hair, and fingernails (toenails).

A Perspective of Soy Isoflavones on Analytical, Biological, and Chemical Attributes

open access: yesLegume Science, Volume 8, Issue 3, September 2026.
ABSTRACT This review covers key aspects of soybean (Glycine max), with a particular focus on its isoflavone content and biological properties. Soybeans maintain their position as both a nutraceutical and a pharmaceutical crop, with a broad range of dietary items used worldwide, including soy milk, fermented soy products, and various dietary supplements.

How does leaf age affect performance? A comparative study of essential oils from young and mature Eucalyptus globulus leaves in crop protection

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 8, Page 7510-7525, August 2026.
Leaf age influences metabolomic profiling but not bioactivity of Eucalyptus globulus essential oils. Leaf age affects volatile levels of young and adult E. globulus oils, but not their bioactivity. Young leaf essential oil had higher contents of α‐ and β‐pinene. AEEO had higher levels of 1,8‐cineole and trans‐pinocarveol.

Molecular Strain Typing of Clinical Isolates, Trichophyton rubrum using Non Transcribed Spacer (NTS) Region as a Molecular Marker [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2017
Introduction: Dermatophytes are a group of fungi which infect keratinized tissues and causes superficial mycoses in humans and animals. The group comprises of three major genera, Trichophyton, Microsporum and Epidermophyton.

Dry Cleaning and Post‐Cleaning Strategies in Food Processing Facilities: A Scoping Review

open access: yesComprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety, Volume 25, Issue 4, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Effective dry cleaning and post‐cleaning treatments are essential for maintaining food safety in dry‐food processing environments where water use must be minimized. This scoping review mapped and synthesized empirical research on minimal‐water cleaning methods applied to industrial surfaces, focusing on their efficacy against microbial and ...

A CRISPR–Cas12a and Quantum‐Dot Lateral‐Flow Assay for Rapid Species‐Level Detection of Trichophyton rubrum

open access: yesMycoses, Volume 69, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Accurate species‐level diagnosis of dermatophytes, particularly Trichophyton rubrum, is important for guiding targeted antifungal therapy and improving the management of recurrent or atypical superficial mycoses. However, routine microscopy has only moderate sensitivity and cannot resolve fungal species; fungal culture is time ...
