An Urban Stormwater Contaminant Signature: Defining Priority Contaminants for Urban Stormwater Research. [PDF]

open access: yesWater Environ Res
We identified a core suite of frequently detected contaminants in urban stormwater ponds using three complementary sampling methods. This urban stormwater contaminant signature (USCS) highlights cumulative exposures in pond ecosystems and supports more targeted monitoring of urban runoff.

Urbanization, Not Invasive Shrubs, Alters Tree Seed Fate by Modifying Rodent Activity. [PDF]

open access: yesEcol Evol
Urbanization and the spread of invasive species are aspects of global change that may lead to shifts in the activity of granivorous rodents, potentially leading to changes in the survival and establishment of seeds rodents consume. Our findings help to illuminate potential hotspots of granivorous rodent activity along an urbanization gradient, the ...

GROWTH ANALYSIS OF HYBRID Eucalyptus urograndis (E. grandis x E. urophylla) IN RESPONSE TO SIMULATED DRIFT OF AUXINIC HERBICIDES

open access: yesRevista Árvore, 2018
The aim of this study was to evaluate growth rates of E. urograndis under application of triclopyr and fluroxipyr+triclopyr herbicides. Was used a randomized block design with four replications in a factorial design (3x2x5), corresponding to herbicides ...

Intoxicação de eucalipto submetido à deriva simulada de diferentes herbicidas Intoxication of eucalyptus submitted to different herbicide drift

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 2006

First report of injuries associated with triclopyr herbicide drift in grapevines

open access: yesSemina: Ciências Agrárias, 2021
In the southern region of Brazil, close proximity of vineyards to soybean areas is common, and glyphosate is used frequently to allow for the control of weeds.

Grapevine Injury and Fruit Yield Response to Simulated Auxin Herbicide Drift

open access: yesHortScience, 2022
Grape growers are concerned about the potential impact of drift from commonly used auxinic herbicides. In California, this is frequently related to herbicides used in cereals and noncrop areas, whereas in other parts of the United States concerns are ...

Interaction of acetyl-CoA carboxylase enzyme inhibiting herbicides with auxin herbicides on ryegrass [PDF]

open access: yesCiência Rural, 2021
: This study aimed to evaluate the antagonistic effect of the mixture ofacetyl coenzyme-A carboxylase (ACCase) enzyme inhibiting herbicides and auxin herbicides in Lolium multiflorum and to determine mechanisms to mitigate this possible effect. The first

Mixture of Triclopyr and Imazapyr More Effective than Triclopyr Alone for Hardwood Forest Stand Improvement

open access: yesForest Science, 2020
AbstractTreatment of individual trees in hardwood stands typically is conducted with herbicides that have no soil activity, such as triclopyr. However, triclopyr is not effective on some tree species. Applying a mixture of triclopyr and imazapyr would broaden the spectrum of species controlled, but nontarget mortality may be problematic as imazapyr may
