Percutaneous Tricuspid Annuloplasty

Interventional Cardiology Clinics, 2018
Severe tricuspid regurgitation (TR) is a common problem, affecting approximately 1.6 million Americans, with the majority (85%) of TR being functional in nature. When left untreated, TR is associated with progressive right-sided heart failure, with a poor prognosis entailing high morbidity and mortality.

Tricuspidal Annuloplasty. Results and Complications

The Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeon, 1982
Between 1976 and 1979, 76 patients underwent tricuspid annuloplasty (TA) for predominant tricuspid regurgitation (TR). The TR was functional (secondary to mitral valve disease) in 70, postrheumatic in 4, posttraumatic in one and secondary to myxomatous degeneration in one.

Tricuspid Annuloplasty: A Modified Technique

The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, 1983

Tricuspid regurgitation severity and transcatheter tricuspid annuloplasty

European Heart Journal, 2022
Abstract Introduction Transcatheter tricuspid annuloplasty is a promising therapeutic alternative for the treatment of tricuspid regurgitation (TR) in patients with a high surgical risk. To date, the published experience with percutaneous tricuspid devices is quite limited. The objective of this study

Technic of tricuspid annuloplasty

The American Journal of Surgery, 1967
Abstract Significant tricuspid insufficiency accompanying lesions of the mitral and aortic valves produces serious effects if they are not repaired at the same time as the left sided lesions. The technic of tricuspid annuloplasty is described, a procedure which if properly performed is most useful and successful.

An Effective Adjunct to Tricuspid Annuloplasty

The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, 1984
A simple and effective adjunct to annuloplasty is presented for use in patients in whom dilatation of the annulus may not be sufficient to convert the tricuspid valve into a bicuspid valve. Several interrupted sutures are placed on the leaflets adjacent to the commissural zone between the anterior and posterior leaflets prior to exclusion of the ...

[Selective tricuspid annuloplasty].

Zhonghua wai ke za zhi [Chinese journal of surgery], 1994
Six cases of functional tricuspid regurgitation associated with rheumatic valvular disease were treated with selective tricuspid annuloplasty simultaneously with MVR or DVR from Sept. 1990 to Feb. 1993. Five cases were followed up for 8-32 months, the primary results were satisfactory and quite encouraging.

An Improved de Vega Tricuspid Annuloplasty

The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, 1982
Constricting the tricuspid annulus to an optimal size and ensuring competency of the suture in situ are essential to the performance of a successful de Vega annuloplasty. An approach to this goal is presented. Important maneuvers include placement of the inside suture just on the ring portion, use of a 33 mm of 35 mm valve obturator to obtain an ...
