Tricuspid valve repair via partial sternotomy for traumatic valve insufficiency
Asian Cardiovascular and Thoracic Annals, 2021Tricuspid valve insufficiency rarely follows a blunt chest trauma. When the tricuspid valve is solely injured, the cardiac trauma may stay asymptomatic and tolerable, which often makes it difficult to determine the indication for surgery. We report a case of a patient with tricuspid regurgitation secondary to trauma due to a motorcycle accident.

Endocardial fibroelastosis and tricuspid valve insufficiency in a calf
Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, 1987A 5-month-old Holstein heifer had clinical signs of tricuspid valve insufficiency and histopathologic evidence of endocardial fibroelastosis. The calf had a 3-week history of weight loss, abdominal distention, dyspnea, and decreased appetite. Physical examination revealed signs of right-sided heart failure, and a systolic murmur (II/VI) was heard best ...

Tricuspid valve insufficiency as a complication of endomyocardial biopsy
Transplant International, 1992The purpose of this study was to investigate the occurrence of major tricuspid insufficiency caused by endomyocardial biopsy in heart transplant recipients. Endomyocardial biopsy was used for the detection of rejection and Doppler echocardiography was performed at regular intervals.

“Balloon valvulotomy” of congenital pulmonary valve stenosis with tricuspid valve insufficiency
Cardiovascular Radiology, 1979The rare congenital anomaly of pulmonary valve stenosis and massive tricuspid valve insufficiency with intact ventricular septum is a lethal condition without reported survival after attempted treatment. In a neonate suffering from this syndrome, the pulmonary valve stenosis was relieved by rupturing the fused valve with a balloon catheter introduced ...

[Traumatic tricuspid valve insufficiency].
Ugeskrift for laeger, 1997We report a case of tricuspid insufficiency in connection with blunt chest trauma. The patient was involved in a car accident. The central venous catheter showed a right ventricular pressure curve, suggestive of a tricuspid valve insufficiency. A transoesophageal echocardiographic examination supported this by revealing a papillary muscle rupture. This

[Ultrasonic diagnosis of tricuspid valve insufficiency].
Kardiologiia, 1985Twenty-nine patients were investigated in order to assess diagnostic possibilities of ultrasonic investigation with regard to tricuspid incompetence. Three highly specific and fairly sensitive criteria of trans-tricuspid regurgitation were identified in addition to a series of indirect echographic signs of tricuspid incompetence.

[Quantification by transthoracic Doppler of tricuspid valve insufficiencies].
Annales de cardiologie et d'angeiologie, 1992Various methods are available today for the quantification of regurgitation by transthoracic Doppler. The present review deals with their respective usefulness in tricuspid insufficiency (TI). Despite their contribution in the domain of mitral and aortic insufficiency, precise quantification methods remain of very limited value regarding the tricuspid ...
