[Isolated tricuspid valve insufficiency of rheumatic origin].
Cardiologia (Rome, Italy), 1997We present 2 patients with a history of rheumatic fever and isolated tricuspid insufficiency diagnosed by transthoracic Doppler echocardiography. Other factors leading to such a rare organic tricuspid involvement were carefully ruled out.

[MitraClip® for treatment of tricuspid valve insufficiency].
Herz, 2018Tricuspid valve regurgitation is frequently found as a result of right ventricular remodeling due to advanced left heart diseases. Drug treatment is limited to diuretics and the cardiac or pulmonary comorbidities. Due to the high risk only a small percentage of patients are amenable to surgical treatment of tricuspid regurgitation in those who undergo ...

[Tricuspid valve insufficiency: what should be done?].
Therapeutische Umschau. Revue therapeutique, 1999Tricuspid regurgitation is relatively common. Due to the progress made in echocardiography, its diagnosis is in general made readily and in reliable fashion. Basically one has to distinguish between functional tricuspid valve regurgitation due to volume and/or pressure overload of the right ventricle with intact valve structures versus tricuspid valve ...

Transient tricuspid valve insufficiency following acute inferior myocardial infarction.
Acta cardiologica, 1986Tricuspid valve insufficiency following acute myocardial infarction is uncommon. It may be explained by right ventricular papillary muscle dysfunction. We report the case of a patient with acute tricuspid valve incompetence during the acute phase of a left ventricular inferior infarction with right ventricular myocardial involvement.

[Quantification by transthoracic Doppler of tricuspid valve insufficiencies].
Annales de cardiologie et d'angeiologie, 1992Various methods are available today for the quantification of regurgitation by transthoracic Doppler. The present review deals with their respective usefulness in tricuspid insufficiency (TI). Despite their contribution in the domain of mitral and aortic insufficiency, precise quantification methods remain of very limited value regarding the tricuspid ...

Traumatic tricuspid valve insufficiency. Experience in thirteen patients.
The Journal of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery, 1994From 1964 through June 1993, thirteen patients with traumatic tricuspid insufficiency were treated surgically; all were male, and the ages ranged from 17 to 64 years (median 39 years). The condition was associated with blunt chest trauma in all patients: motor vehicle accidents in twelve and an explosion of a tank of compressed air in one.
