The present study has been carried out to see the long-term effects of triflumezopyrim in an Indian major carp, Labeo rohita. Fishes were exposed to sub-lethal concentrations triflumezopyrim insecticide, 1.41 ppm (Treatment 1), 3.27 ppm (Treatment 2) and 4.97 ppm (Treatment 3), respectively for 21 days.

Like other neonicotinoid insecticides, it binds to the orthosteric site of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR), but the binding mode has not been reported. Nicotinic acetylcholine binding proteins (nAChBPs) are ideal alternative structure for nAChRs.
