Electrophilic Trifluoromethylthiolation of Allylsilanes with Trifluoromethanesulfanamide
Organic Letters, 2013A CH(3)COCl-promoted allylic trifluoromethylthiolation of allylsilanes with trifluoromethanesulfanamide has been described. The method allows for an efficient synthesis of a wide range of allylic trifluoromethylthiolated compounds under mild conditions.

Superacid‐Catalyzed Trifluoromethylthiolation of Aromatic Amines
Angewandte Chemie, 2016AbstractUpon activation under superacid conditions, functionalized tailor‐made N‐SCF3 sulfenamides served as reagents for the trifluoromethylthiolation of aromatic amines. This method has a broad substrate scope and can be used for the late‐stage functionalization of complex molecules such as alkaloids or steroids.

Trifluoromethylthiolation of 1,3-Dithiane
Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Silicon and the Related Elements, 2006With a view to synthesize 2-(trifluoromethylthio)-1,3-dithiane (1), 1,3-dithiane (2) was reacted in dry pentane at −78°C under dry N2 with trifluoromethylsulfenyl chloride (3) and was found to furnish the desired compound in poor yields along with ten other compounds.

Copper-Mediated Trifluoromethylthiolation of α-Diazoesters
Organic Letters, 2014A novel Cu-mediated trifluoromethylthiolation of diazo compounds has been developed that provides a convenient synthetic route for the efficient α-trifluoromethylthiolation of simple esters under mild reaction conditions. The reaction is typically carried out at room temperature, and water could be used to promote the reaction.

Mild electrophilic trifluoromethylthiolation of ketones with trifluoromethanesulfanamide
Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry, 2015A straightforward and convenient approach for trifluoromethylthiolation of various acyclic and cyclic ketones with PhNHSCF 3 is described. The reaction proceeds smoothly in the presence of acetyl chloride at room temperature and affords α-trifluoromethylthiolated ketones in fair to good ...

Shelf-Stable Electrophilic Reagents for Trifluoromethylthiolation
Accounts of Chemical Research, 2015Fluorine, which is the most electronegative element and has a small atomic radius, plays a key role in pharmaceutical, agrochemical, and materials sciences. One of the fluoroalkyl groups, the trifluoromethylthio group (CF3S-), has been well-recognized as an important structural motif in the design of lead compounds for new drug discovery because of its

State‐of‐the‐Art in Electrophilic Trifluoromethylthiolation Reagents
Chinese Journal of Chemistry, 2016AbstractThis work proposed a label‐free, cost‐effective and fairly sensitive electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) strategy for the specific detection of lysozyme based on the hemin/G‐quadruplex hybrid. Gold nanoparticles were spread onto the chitosan thin‐film as substrate to adsorb thiolated captures: a hairpin‐structured DNA, integrating dual ...

Trifluoromethylthiolation of Trimethylsilyl Enol Ethers
Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Silicon and the Related Elements, 2002The treatment of bis-(1,2-trimethylsilyloxy)-1-cyclobutene, 1-(1-trimethylsilyloxy)cyclpentene and 1-(1-trimethylsilyloxy)cyclohexene with trifluoromethylsulfenyl chloride has been found to furnish trifluoromethylthiolated carbonyl derivatives.
