Abstract Feeding experiments have demonstrated that 7,2′-dihydroxy-4′-methoxy-isoflavone-[ 14 C-Me] and -isoflavanone-[ 14 C-Me] are extremely efficient precursors of the phytoalexin demethylhomopterocarpin in Cu 2+ -treated red clover seedlings.

The tendency to change of plunge of the root collar in plants of T. pratense in populations of the meadow phytocoenoses along the pascual gradient in dependence on soil density is studied. Increasing of pasture load leads to the progressive density of soil.
