Synthesis of high oleic palm oil-based trimethylolpropane esters in a vacuum operated pulsed loop reactor [PDF]
The experimental studies have shown that a pulsed loop reactor can be used to successfully reduce the reaction time for the transesterification of oils and fats.

Characterization of Trimethylolpropane‐Based Biolubricant
European Journal of Lipid Science and Technology, 2020AbstractThe oxidative stability index (OSI) of fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) and trimethylolpropane (TMP) esters or TMPE produced from five vegetable oils (Brassica rapa L., Linum usitatissimum L., Zea mays L., Brassica napus L., Camelina sativa L.) are compared.

Abstract Proton NMR relaxation times, T 1 , T 2 , and T 1ϱ , have been measured as a function of temperature in trimethylolpropane triacryla (TMPTA) and trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate (TMPTMA). The results for TMPTA and TMPTMA are very similar.

Kinetic investigations of trimethylolpropane–diisocyanate reactions
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2006AbstractTrimethylolpropane (TMP) is frequently used as a trifunctional branching and chain‐extending agent in polyurethane production. This article deals with the analysis of the reactivities of the three primary hydroxyl groups of TMP during reactions with two exemplary diisocyanates: aromatic diphenylmethane‐4,4′‐diisocyanate and aliphatic m ...

AbstractElectron beam‐induced polymerization of trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPTA) and its methacrylate analog (TMPTMA) was studied using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) relaxation time measurements. Free induction decays (FID) of partially polymerized samples consist of a short Gaussian component and a longer component comprised of a distribution

Esterification of trimethylolpropane with fatty acids
Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils, 19671. It has been shown that sodium bisulfate in an amount of 3–5% significantly shortens the reaction time compared with the most widely used catalysts in esterification of trimethylolpropane with fatty acids; it simplifies subsequent treatment of the reaction mixture, and increases the yield of ester.
