Xenon difluoride–trimethylsilyl isocyanate–triflic acid as a new system for the amination of aromatic compounds

open access: closedMendeleev Communications, 2001
In the title system, OCNXeOSO2CF3 is formed, which readily oxidises iodobenzene to [PhI+–NCO –OTf]. The direct amination of aromatic substrates is possible with the use of XeF2–Me3SiNCO–CF3SO3H.

Reactions of 1,2,2,2-tetrachloroethyl isocyanate with trialkyl and trimethylsilyl phosphites

open access: closedRussian Journal of General Chemistry, 2004
The reaction of 1,2,2,2-tetrachloroethyl isocyanate with trialkyl phosphites is unselective. It involves chlorine substitution, addition by the isocyanate group, and dehydrochlorination and gives rise to a mixture of mono- and diphosphorylated compounds.

Reactions of tert-butyl isocyanate and trimethylsilyl azide with imidoamido compounds of chromium, molybdenum and tungsten

open access: closedJournal of the Chemical Society, Dalton Transactions, 1993
tert-Butyl isocyanate and Cr(NBut)2(NHBut)2 react to form a complex containing the dianion of N,N′,N″-tri-tert-butylbiuret Cr(NBut)2{[ButNC(O)]2NBut}. The crystal structure of its hydrogen-bonded adduct with [But(H)NC(O)]2NBut has been determined and the ligand found to bind its three N atoms, whereas in solution the 1H NMR spectrum indicates a six ...

Functionalization of Calix[4]resorcinolarenes with Trimethylsilyl Isocyanate

open access: closedRussian Journal of General Chemistry, 2002
Calix[4]resorcinolarenes and their dialkylaminomethylated derivatives react with trimethylsilyl isocyanate to form addition products containing four silylcarbamate groups. These compounds are unstable and, depending on the nature of alkyl groups at the lower rim of the macrocycle, undergo two types of transformations.
