A model for TRIP steel constitutive behavior
A constitutive model is developed for TRIP steel. This is a steel which contains three or four different phases in its microstructure. One of the phases in TRIP steels is metastable austenite (Retained Austenite) which transforms to martensite upon deformation.

Influence of pre-stretching on microstructure and formability of TRIP steel [PDF]
To study the effect of pre-deformation on martensitic transformation and microstructural evolution in transformation induced plasticity (TRIP) steels, and to investigate the forming ability of TRIP steels, the TRIP590 steel plate was selected as the ...

Deformation-Induced Microstructural Banding in TRIP Steels [PDF]
Abstract Microstructure inhomogeneities can strongly influence the mechanical properties of advanced high-strength steels in a detrimental manner. This study of a transformation-induced plasticity (TRIP) steel investigates the effect of pre-existing contiguous grain boundary networks (CGBNs) of hard second-phases and shows how these develop ...

MODERN STRUCTURAL STEELS WITH TRIP-EFFECT
Purpose. The aim of this work is to analyze the latest literature data on current state of the issue in the development of the chemical composition and heat treatment modes of steels that implement the TRIP effect under loading. Due to the deformation martensitic transformation of retained austenite, these steels have increased mechanical and ...
