Super‐Resolution Ultrasound Based Cell Tracking With Polymeric Nanobubbles

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a super‐resolution ultrasound platform for tracking cells in vivo. Biocompatible polymeric nanobubbles are used as highly echogenic intracellular labels. Following the injection of cells and microbubbles, ultrasound localization microscopy (ULM) can dynamically match the microvascular architecture and individual cell trajectories ...

Natural Products Inspired Scaffold Diversification Leads to Unnatural Molecular Warhead and Covalent Strategy to Modulating Protein Function through Electrophilic Bromine Transfer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report a new thiolate‐reactive α,α‐gem‐dibromo lactam warhead that activates transcription factor Nrf2 and demonstrates anti‐inflammatory activities, which have implications in cancer, neurodegeneration, and cardiovascular diseases. RNA‐seq illuminated detailed transcriptional profiles, and chemical reactions with cysteine‐containing compounds ...

Metformin sensitizes triple-negative breast cancer to histone deacetylase inhibitors by targeting FGFR4

open access: yesJournal of Biomedical Science
Background Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is characterized by high malignancy, strong invasiveness, and a propensity for distant metastasis, leading to poor prognosis and relatively limited treatment options.

Real-world survival outcomes of neoadjuvant versus adjuvant chemotherapy in operable triple-negative breast cancer: a propensity score matched registry-based study

open access: yesActa Oncologica
Background and purpose: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an aggressive breast cancer subtype where the prognostic implications of primary systemic therapy followed by surgery, compared to up-front surgery and subsequent adjuvant chemotherapy (ACT),

The association between telomerase activity and expression of its RNA component (hTR) in breast cancer patients: the importance of DNase treatment [PDF]

open access: yes
Telomerase is a ribonucleoprotein enzyme that compensates for the telomere length shortening which occurs during the cell cycle. Telomerase activity has been detected in most tumours but not in somatic cells.

Canagliflozin Alleviates Diabetic Glomerular Endothelial Injury via Melibiose in a Microbiota‐Dependent Manner

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Canagliflozin treatment reshapes the gut microbiota in DKD and elevates levels of melibiose, a metabolite derived from Roseburia intestinalis. Melibiose directly binds to and enhances the enzymatic activity of glyoxalase 1, leading to decreased methylglyoxal accumulation.

Integrated Single-Cell and Bulk RNA Sequencing Identifies SERPING1 as a Biomarker of Immune Infiltration and Prognosis in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesFrontiers in Bioscience-Landmark
Background: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an aggressive malignancy that lacks effective treatment. Immune infiltration plays an important role in anti-tumor responses.
