This study identifies somatostatin receptor 4 (Sstr4) as a critical tumor suppressor against skin and head/neck cancers (HNSCC, cSCC, and BCC). The loss of Sstr4 removes a check on cell growth, causing hyperactivation of the MAPK‐ERK signaling pathway (↑).

Chemotherapy side effects significantly impact cancer survivors' quality of life. Using protein levels in blood samples from breast cancer patients before and after 12 weeks of taxane treatment, we detected treatment‐dependent changes in calcium signaling and aging pathways associated with cancer recurrence.

Investigation of microstructural evolution in sintered NdFeB during the two-step annealing
Two-step annealing is an effective approach for enhancing coercivity of sintered NdFeB magnets. In-situ transmission electron microscopy (in-situ TEM) were utilized to figure out the microstructural evolution in two-step annealing.

Geometry of polycrystals and microstructure
We investigate the geometry of polycrystals, showing that for polycrystals formed of convex grains the interior grains are polyhedral, while for polycrystals with general grain geometry the set of triple points is small.

Phase structure of the twisted SU(3)/U(1)2 flag sigma model on ℝ × S 1
We investigate the phase structure of the compactified 2-dimensional nonlinear SU(3)/U(1)2 flag sigma model with respect to two θ-terms. Based on the circle compactification with the ℤ3-twisted boundary condition, which preserves an ’t Hooft anomaly of ...

The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

Derivation and characterization of retinal pigment epithelium from urine‐derived iPSCs
Age‐related macular degeneration causes vision loss via RPE dysfunction and loss. Traditional iPSC therapies rely on invasive biopsies, limiting scalability. Here, we utilize urine‐derived stem cells as an accessible source to generate u‐iPSCs, successfully differentiated into pigmented RPE. This “Urine‐to‐Retina” platform provides a promising path for
