This paper presents a low-ripple voltage tripler charge-pump intended to provide a stable supply voltage to the cascaded circuits, thus allowing relaxed design specifications of the latter. The structure, which is implemented by means of an array of charge pump modules sequentially enabled, was developed for a phase-change memory (PCM) device, but it ...

An analysis of the frequency tripler
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1966This paper deals with an analysis of the fundamental circuit of a frequency tripler, constructed with saturable reactors. In the analysis, the equation of the circuit is directly obtained by using the approximate expression of the characteristics of the reactor cores.

Experimental results of an optimised voltage tripler
9th International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems, 2003In this paper, experimental results of a voltage tripler are given. This voltage tripler is improved against the influence of parasitic capacitances on output voltage and optimised in terms of its die area. The interaction between working frequency and die area is discussed.

Tristron: the frequency tripler
2005 15th International Crimean Conference Microwave & Telecommunication Technology, 2005The paper presents the results of calculating third-harmonic static and dynamic modes for tristron (frequency multiplier). A possibility of designing a third-harmonic multiplier tristron delivering high efficiency and power is shown.

An optimised design of an improved voltage tripler
ICECS 2001. 8th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (Cat. No.01EX483), 2002An improved voltage tripler with a symmetrical stacking charge pump has been proposed. A pre-charge of parasitic capacitances has been added in this improved structure. Consequently the output voltage loss is reduced by a factor of 2. An optimised design of the improved voltage tripler for applications with a resistive load has been thus developed in ...

A Bipolar MMIC Frequency Tripler
2008 7th International Caribbean Conference on Devices, Circuits and Systems, 2008A concept for an MMIC frequency tripler using SiGe HBT's is proposed and verified in this paper. The main circuit of this tripler consists of a differential-pair frequency doubler followed by a single-balanced mixer that multiplies the doubler output with the fundamental frequency input to generate the triple-frequency output. The single-balanced mixer

The circuit and the operation of an SCR frequency tripler are described. The modes of operation are discussed and the circuit behavior is analyzed for different output conditions. An approximate equivalent circuit is used to describe the load conditions.

This paper describes a high performance W-band tripler with a novel structure. Input frequency is 25-36.7 GHz, output frequency 75-110 GHz, input power is 20dBm and conversion loss 16 dB. It can extend microwave signal to W-band (adding in Ka-band doubler). In the design, we give some approaches to achieve high band performances.

The most common form of static frequency tripler consists of a 3-phase transformer operated at a fairly high flux density, with an open-delta secondary connected to the triple-frequency load. The nonlinear property of the B/H characteristic of the core material is used to obtain the frequency conversion, and the unwanted fundamental component is ...

QPSK Direct Regenerator with a Frequency Tripler and a Quadrupler
IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1979This paper describes a regenerator for quadriphase phase shift keying (QPSK) signals at the carrier frequency, which is called a "direct regenerator." The direct regenerator proposed here is realized using a tripler and a quadrupler. This regenerator is characterized by the symbols m , n and s , which denote the intermediate combiner amplitude ratio ...
