Triplet-state phosphinyl diradicals [PDF]
Photoinduced dissociative electron capture of a sterically hindered m-phenylenebis(phosphinous chloride) in the presence of an electron-rich olefin at 110 K affords a novel triplet ground-state phosphinyl diradical which is fully characterised using EPR spectroscopy.

Cotunneling Spectroscopy in Few-Electron Quantum Dots
Few-electron quantum dots are investigated in the regime of strong tunneling to the leads. Inelastic cotunneling is used to measure the two-electron singlet-triplet splitting above and below a magnetic field driven singlet-triplet transition.

Fast‐Responding O2 Gas Sensor Based on Luminescent Europium Metal‐Organic Frameworks (MOF‐76)
Luminescent MOF‐76 materials based on Eu(III) and mixed Eu(III)/Y(III) show rapid and reversible changes in emission intensity in response to O2 with very short response times. The effect is based on triplet quenching of the linker ligands that act as photosensitizers. Average emission lifetimes of a few milliseconds turn out to be mostly unaffected by

Theory of the proximity effect in junctions with unconventional superconductors [PDF]
We present a general theory of the proximity effect in junctions between diffusive normal metals (DN) and unconventional superconductors in the framework of the quasiclassical Green's function formalism.

Operando Temperature Sensing at the Actual Electrocatalytic Interface by Nanodiamond Quantum Sensors
By integrating a wide‐field microscope with a custom‐designed electrolyzer, nanoscale temperature changes can be recorded in situ during the electrolysis process without interfering with ongoing electrochemical reactions. This method establishes a correlation between the interface temperature and specific electrochemical reactions, making the measured ...

Triplet State Lifetime of Anthracene in Benzene Solution
The decay kinetics of the triplet state absorption of anthracene in benzene have been measured in conditions of laser flash photolysis, as a function of anthracene concentration and of laser light intensity.
