Self-Assembled Triply Periodic Minimal Surfaces as moulds for Photonic Band Gap Materials
We propose systems with structures defined by self-assembled triply periodic minimal surfaces (STPMS) as candidates for photonic bandgap materials. To support our proposal we have calculated the photonic bands for different STPMS and we have found that ...

An orthorhombic deformation family of Schwarz' H surfaces
The classical H surfaces of H. A. Schwarz form a 1-parameter family of triply periodic minimal surfaces (TPMS) that are usually described as close relatives to his more famous P surface. However, a crucial distinction between these surfaces is that the P

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Validation of material-invariant mechanical models for triply periodic minimal surface structures
Their dual functionality makes triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) sheet networks an ideal candidate for permeable, load-bearing cellular structures. The present study investigates Gyroid and Primitive structures in quasi-static compression.

Finite size effects in Neutron Star and Nuclear matter simulations [PDF]
In this work we study molecular dynamics simulations of symmetric nuclear matter using a semi-classical nucleon interaction model. We show that, at sub-saturation densities and low temperatures, the solutions are non-homogeneous structures reminiscent of

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Chamfer distance for non-linear registration of Triply Periodic Minimal Surface lattices
We present a 3D image registration technique for non-linear deformation estimation in Additive Manufacturing processes. The methodology involves comparing X-ray Computed Tomography (XCT) data with Computer Aided Design (CAD) models for Triply Periodic ...

Three-dimensional single gyroid photonic crystals with a mid-infrared bandgap [PDF]
A gyroid structure is a distinct morphology that is triply periodic and consists of minimal isosurfaces containing no straight lines. We have designed and synthesized amorphous silicon (a-Si) mid-infrared gyroid photonic crystals that exhibit a complete ...
