Triply periodic minimal and constant mean curvature surfaces [PDF]

open access: yesInterface Focus, 2012
We want to summarize some established results on periodic surfaces which are minimal or have constant mean curvature, along with some recent results. We will do this from a mathematical point of view with a general readership in mind.

The design of strut/TPMS-based pore geometries in bioceramic scaffolds guiding osteogenesis and angiogenesis in bone regeneration

open access: yesMaterials Today Bio, 2023
The pore morphology design of bioceramic scaffolds plays a substantial role in the induction of bone regeneration. Specifically, the effects of different scaffold pore geometry designs on angiogenesis and new bone regeneration remain unclear.

Triply periodic minimal surfaces bounded by vertical symmetry planes [PDF]

open access: yesmanuscripta mathematica, 2008
We give a uniform and elementary treatment of many classical and new triply periodic minimal surfaces in Euclidean space, based on a Schwarz-Christoffel formula for periodic polygons in the plane. Our surfaces share the property that vertical symmetry planes cut them into simply connected pieces.

Triply Periodic Minimal Surfaces Mullite Structures for Humidity Detection

open access: yesChemosensors
Three-dimensional-printed complex mullite structures based on triply periodic minimal surfaces (TPMSs, namely, Schwartz and Gyroid) with two different thicknesses (Schwartz 1 and Gyroid 1–4 mm, Schwartz 2 and Gyroid 2–6 mm) were fabricated and tested as ...

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Heat transfer in a porous medium having an ordered gyroid-based macrostructure

open access: yesРоссийский технологический журнал
Objectives. Triply periodic minimal surfaces are non-intersecting surfaces with zero mean curvature, consisting of elements repeating in three directions of the Cartesian coordinate system.

On the genus of triply periodic minimal surfaces

open access: yesJournal of Differential Geometry, 2008
we prove the existence of embedded minimal surfaces of arbitrary genus g 3 in any at 3-torus. In fact we construct a sequence of such surfaces converging to a planar foliation of the 3-torus. In particular, the area of the surface can be chosen arbitrarily large.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in
