Tunable Sound Absorption via Evanescent‐Wave Coupling in Asymmetric Bilayer Metasurfaces
Tunable sound absorption is realized through a bilayer metasurface system governed by evanescent‐wave coupling. This work demonstrates that such evanescent‐wave coupling provides a controllable scattering channel that destructively interferes with the specular reflection.

Retrieval of similar travel routes using GPS tracklog place names [PDF]
GPS tracklogs provide a valuable record of routes travelled. In this paper we describe initial experiments exploring the use of text information retrieval techniques for the location of similar trips from within a GPS tracklog.

Terahertz resonances in crystalline heterostructures could close a spectral gap between conventional electronics and photonics while opening new windows on non‐equilibrium lattice dynamics. Femtosecond optical screening of the depolarization field in epitaxial PbTiO3/SrTiO3 superlattices launches a collective polar mode that oscillates near 1 THz and ...

A Janus carbon matrix is engineered by covalently anchoring organic sulfonic anions within tubular pores of hierarchical CMK‐5, serving as an interfacial layer for Zn metal anodes. This design establishes a charge gradient for Zn2+ diffusion, enabling the directional deposition of confined and uniform Zn inside the pores while suppressing parasitic ...

Dorsal Raphe VIP Neurons Are Critical for Survival‐Oriented Vigilance
DRNVIP neurons in mice and primates are strategically positioned to influence the central extended amygdala via feedback loops. They regulate the excitability of PKC‐δ neurons in the ovBNST and CeA through glutamate release. Their ablation heightens activity in these regions, disrupts active‐phase sleep architecture, enhances risk assessment behaviors ...

Challenges to fair access to vaccines and medicines in the TRIPS Agreement with a view to Iranian Law (Example under review: Corona vaccine) [PDF]
After Prevalence of Corona, the limitations of TRIPS have been revealed, because the approach of TRIPS on one hand is to support the intellectual property aspects of the vaccine and drugs, and on the other hand, the flexibilities of TRIPS are not enough ...
