OMPs are the agreed basis to recommend rock lobster TACs for all four islands of the Tristan da Cunha Group. Johnston and Butterworth (2024) report such calculations for the Tristan island and the Nightingale island. OMPs for Gough and Inaccessible were most recently developed in 2021 (OMP-2021) and have been used for the last three seasons to set the ...

2010 Estimates of sustainable rock lobster yield for the four islands of the Tristan da Cunha group
A simple replacement yield model is fitted to CPUE and annual catch data from 1997 for the four islands of the Tristan da Cunha group. The results suggest that the current TAC be maintained, with a slight increase (perhaps 5 tons) to the allocation to ...

GLM-standardised rock lobster (Jasus tristani) vessel CPUE at Tristan
A GLM method is described which is used to standardise the vessel CPUE data at Tristan. The vessel CPUE provides a more optimistic indication of stock status than the powerboat CPUE for the2017-20211+ seasons, but this trend is reversed for the 2024 season.

Recommendations on rock lobster TAC's for the Tristan group of islands for the 2012/13 season
Based on a similar approach as used last year, but updated to take account of recent decisions about the probable impact of the OLIVA incident on the resources at Nightingale and Inaccessible, TACs have been calculated for all four islands which aim to ...

2010 Estimates of sustainable rock lobster yield for the four islands of the Tristan da Cunha group
A simple replacement yield model is fitted to CPUE and annual catch data from 1997 for the four islands of the Tristan da Cunha group. The results suggest that the current TAC be maintained, with a slight increase (perhaps 5 tons) to the allocation to Gough, and the same decrease to the allocation to Tristan.
