The heat capacity, entropy, internal energy, and free energy are calculated to 2500°C for tritium and tritium hydride. The distribution of tritium between the ortho and para states is considered. The equilibrium constant for the formation of tritium hydride from hydrogen and tritium is calculated from 50°K to 2500°K.

The JET hybrid scenario in Deuterium, Tritium and Deuterium-Tritium
Abstract The JET hybrid scenario has been developed from low plasma current carbon wall discharges to the record-breaking Deuterium-Tritium plasmas obtained in 2021 with the ITER-like Be/W wall. The development started in pure Deuterium with refinement of the plasma current, and toroidal magnetic field choices and succeeded in solving ...

Tritium burn efficiency in deuterium–tritium magnetic fusion
Abstract The controlling parameters regarding tritium burn efficiency (TBE) are derived from first principles and shown to depend fundamentally on the permitted He gas fraction in the divertor and effective pumping speeds of He ash and unburned hydrogenic fuel.

Abstract Environmental tritium are natural and anthropogenic origins, the distribution has spread in atmosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere as a variety of chemical forms. The natural tritium is produced by nuclear reactions of neutron with N and O in the upper atmosphere, the production rate changes with 11-year cycle of the solar ...

TRITIUM CONTROL AT THE TRITIUM SYSTEMS TEST ASSEMBLY [PDF]
The Tritium Systems Test Assembly (TSTA) is a computer-controlled facility designed to mock up full-scale the deuterium-tritium fuel cycle of next-generation tokamak fusion test reactors. Such reactors will use or build on the experience and technologies of the TSTA and other engineering facilities.

Tritium permeability measurement in hydrogen-tritium system
Abstract Understanding of thermodynamic equilibria of multi-components hydrogen isotopes is required to accurately measure tritium permeability at the expected low tritium partial pressure and non-negligible high hydrogen partial pressure in a fusion blanket system.

Tritium implantation in the accelerator production of tritium device [PDF]
We briefly describe the methods we have developed to compute the magnitude and spatial distribution of born and implanted tritons and protons in the Accelerator Production of Tritium (AFT) device. The methods are verified against experimental measurements and then used to predict that 16% of the tritium is implanted in the walls of the APT distribution

Tritium surface contamination [PDF]
Glovebox wipe surveys were conducted to correlate surface tritium contamination with atmospheric tritium levels. Surface contamination was examined as a function of tritium concentration and of tritium form, HT/T2 and HTO. The relationship between atmospheric HTO concentration and cleanup time was also investigated.

Tritium monitoring at the Sandia Tritium Research Laboratory [PDF]
Sandia Laboratories at Livermore, California, is presently beginning operation of a Tritium Research Laboratory (TRL). The laboratory incorporates containment and cleanup facilities such that any unscheduled tritium release is captured rather than vented to the atmosphere.
