Characterization of Chemical Densified Coating as Tritium Permeation Barrier

Journal of Nuclear Science and Technology, 2001
In a fusion blanket design, ceramic coating on structural materials has been considered to be used as a tritium permeation barrier. The Chemical Densified Coating (CDC) method has some advantage compared with another coating method. This method is capable to form densified coating on either the outer or the inner surface of a tube or a container.

A composite coating of GO-Al2O3 for tritium permeation barrier

Fusion Engineering and Design, 2020
Abstract To improve tritium permeation resistance and toughness of Al2O3 coating, a new graphene oxide (GO)-alumina (Al2O3) composite coating as tritium permeation barrier was designed in this paper. GO was added into Al2O3 to prepare the composite coating of GO-Al2O3 by a sol-gel method.
