POLLINATION ECOLOGY OF TRIUMFETTA RHOMBOIDEA (TILIACEAE)

open access: yesAnnali di Botanica, 2017
In Triumfetta rhomboidea, the floral characteristics such as showy petals, nectar and pollen, short period of anthesis schedule, self-compatibility, brief period of stigma receptivity, medium pollen/ovule ratio and delayed autonomous selfing suggest that it is facultative autogamous with the option kept open for outcrossing.

Population Structure and Curative Uses of Invasive Plants in and around the Protected Forests of Bangladesh: A Means of Utilization of Potential Invasive Species

open access: yesJournal of Ecosystems, Volume 2014, Issue 1, 2014., 2014
Invasive plants were planted in Bangladesh to improve the stand stock quickly and meet the country’s rapidly growing demand for timber. Although invasive species have negative impacts on local ecosystems, but some species are useful too. Therefore, the present study was conducted in and around two protected forests of Bangladesh to assess the status ...

Photosynthetic, metabolic and growth responses ofTriumfetta rhomboideato coal-smoke pollution at different stages of plant ontogeny [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Plant Interactions, 2010
Abstract Coal-smoke emissions affected photosynthesis, N-metabolism and growth characteristics of Triumpfetta rhomboidea, as observed at pre-flowering, flowering and post-flowering stages of plant growth. The net photosynthetic rate and stomatal conductance decreased, whereas intercellular CO2 concentration increased under pollution stress. The amounts

Invasive Alien Species of Terrestrial Vegetation of North‐Eastern Uttar Pradesh

open access: yesInternational Journal of Forestry Research, Volume 2014, Issue 1, 2014., 2014
The vegetational landscape of north‐eastern Terai region at the foot hills of Central Himalayas is a mosaic of grassland, old‐field, wasteland, and forest ecosystems. Like many other parts of the country, this region is also infested with alien intruders which not only interfere with the growth and production of food crops but also exercise adverse ...

Acacia sieberiana Effects on Soil Properties and Plant Diversity in Songa Pastures, Rwanda

open access: yesInternational Journal of Biodiversity, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
Effects of A. sieberiana trees on soil properties and plant diversity were investigated in Songa pastures, Rwanda. Tree characteristics and crown architecture of A. sieberiana were studied. Soil properties were assessed and plants were identified under and away from tree crowns.

Mitigation of Legacy Effects in Invaded Soil via Alien Plant‐Derived Biochar 题目:外来植物生物炭对其入侵后土壤遗留效应的修复作用

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, Volume 4, Issue 4, Page 686-694, December 2025.
The soil fungicide reduces the occurrence of pathogenic fungi in invaded soil and at the same time promotes the recruitment of mycorrhizal fungi and saprophytic fungi by the plants. The addition of biochar to the invaded soil has a negative legacy effect on subsequent invasive plants, while it exerts a positive enhancement effect on native plants ...

[Retracted] Climatic, Regional Land‐Use Intensity, Landscape, and Local Variables Predicting Best the Occurrence and Distribution of Bee Community Diversity in Various Farmland Habitats in Uganda

open access: yesPsyche: A Journal of Entomology, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
This study was conducted in 2006 in central Uganda to provide baseline data on relationships between bee community variables and local, climatic, landscape and regional drivers affecting bee community abundance and diversity in agricultural landscapes. Bee abundance and species richness increased significantly (P < 0.05) with increase in percent cover ...

Triumfetta rhomboidea (diamond burbark).

open access: yes, 2020
Abstract Triumfetta rhomboidea is an environmental and agricultural weed widely distributed in the tropics and subtropics worldwide. It is a competitive shrub species that disperses by means of its epizoochorous burs, and can become invasive in pastures and disturbed areas where it can form dense stands.
